Save the Date!! November 1, 2026
Join Sol Treasures, La Cocina, and our community partners for a vibrant Día de los Muertos celebration honoring the lives, memories, and legacies of those who came before us.
This annual community gathering brings together tradition, art, culture, food, music, and remembrance in a meaningful celebration for all ages. The day begins with a community parade through downtown King City and continues at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds with live entertainment, cultural performances, community altars, traditional food, family activities, and the beloved Catrina/Catrín Contest.
In the months leading up to the celebration, Sol Treasures will offer a series of Día de los Muertos workshops and classes designed to help participants create meaningful altar pieces, decorations, artwork, and personal tributes for the event. Whether you are continuing family traditions or experiencing Día de los Muertos for the first time, these classes provide an opportunity to learn about the cultural significance of the holiday while creating something special to share.
Día de los Muertos is not a day of mourning, but a joyful celebration of remembrance. Through stories, art, music, and community connection, we honor loved ones who have passed and keep their memories alive for future generations.
We invite the entire community to participate in this beautiful tradition and celebrate the enduring bonds between past and present.
